REINE *SPANISH MATCHBOX - periferical encounters: Body, Image, Words The project Spanish Matchbox pretends to confront, in a periferical and extreme luminous context, the dynamics of the way of thinking, of the aesthetics, politics, performatives and cultural of the south of Europe with its Nordics connections. An urgency for contrasting, rethinking and expanding the compendium of our own references and the common ones. An encounter to research, always from the practice, around body, image and words. The complete Spanish Matchbox program will be published as soon as possible. The project is supported by AC/E Spain´s Public Agency for Cultural Action www.accioncultural.com Also it is supported by The Spanish Embassy in Oslo, Norway. www.spanishembassy.net ** CELLOLYD FESTIVAL We are very proud colaborating with this wonderful festival in the Lofoten Island. Here you have some info about the festival. More info will also come in their page. www.cellolyd.com “Cellolyd i Lofoten” is a small and intimate music festival that takes place every year in the beginning of August. The festival is based in the beautiful fishing village of Reine i Lofoten in the borough of Moskenes, but concerts are also held at several other venues in the Lofoten Islands. A cello festival may sound rather limited, but we work to provide our audiences with a varied and wide-ranging programme designed to illustrate the wealth of possibilities offered by this fantastic instrument. In addition to our classical and contemporary concerts, we also work together with a variety of vocalists who, on this occasion, replace their own bands with the festival ensemble (consisting solely of cellists). At the “cello pub” you will hear everything from hip-hop to dance music all played on cellos, and from 2014 we also have a permanent children’s event on the agenda.
